There’s a lot going on here at the brewery. Today we brewed a Double Amber for our upcoming 25th Anniversary! We’re really excited about this beer. After fermentation, it will be split up and sent into 15 gallon rum barrels from Turkey Shore Distillery in Ipswich for a few weeks then blended to be served at our Anniversary Party on May 2nd and 3rd.
Because it’s such a special occasion and quite an undertaking with all of that extra grain, we thought we could use a hand (or twelve!) So we made a few calls and brought in 6 CBC brewing alums to help us out. Heck! Even Phil “Brewdaddy” Bannatyne got in on the action! Check out the pictures below.
Thank you so much to Kevin O’Leary of Ardent Ales, Ben Roesch of Wormtown Brewing, Megan O’Leary Parisi who will soon be joining Wormtown Brewing, Sean Nolan of Idle Hands Brewing, Ben Howe of Enlightenment Ales, journalist/author Lauren Clark whose book Crafty Bastards: Beer in New England from the Mayflower to Modern Day will be out in May, and of course, many thanks to our current staff of brewers Jay, Adrian and Alex!
It’s been a great day of old friends, CBC memories and sharing beer.
