Twenty To One IPA

Wheat IPA with New Zealand hops This India Pale Ale was brewed with over thirty percent malted wheat and features a new hop varietal, Kohatu, from New Zealand. Well known for having the world’s largest population of sheep (where on the South Island they outnumber people at a rate of twenty to one), New Zealand is fast becoming recognized as a serious player in the world’s hop production. [wpex more="Read more" less="Read less"] With a laudable hop breeding program and an environment that is disease-free to hops, New Zealand varieties such as Nelson Sauvin, Riwaka, Mutueka, and others are becoming increasingly popular with American craft brewers. In our latest beer, 20 to 1, Kohatu hops offer subtle aromas and flavors of tangerine and lime, musk melon, pineapple, and an earthy finish. Wheat malt shows with a creamy body but dry palate in this balanced expression of Southern Hemisphere hop character. Cheers! Teardrop $5.75 Pitcher $21 Tower $36[/wpex]
