Gourdor

American Stout with Applewood Smoked Pumpkins The crisp fall air is upon us, which means it's time for the fellowship of brewers at CBC to continue to create new and exciting beers based around the one gourd to rule them all: the pumpkin. [wpex more="Read more" less="Read less"] For this particular brew, we began by smoking 150 pounds of Massachusetts grown organic sugar pumpkins with sweet and flavorful applewood. This resulted in a pumpkin with intense yet very well rounded smoke flavor and enhanced sweetness, all of which pair very nicely with the robust and chocolatey American stout base. Brewed with copious amounts of chocolate malt, roasted barley and flaked oats, Gourdor is very full-bodied with a silky mouthfeel. Notes of chocolate, cold brewed coffee and a ton of roast are sandwiched between a smoky campfire aroma and finish. Best enjoyed outdoors on a cool fall night while wearing your favorite flannel shirt. Cheers! Tulip 6 Pitcher 23 [/wpex]
