Summer is here and thank goodness for that. Here at CBC we’ve got a whole lot of fun brewing this summer. (See what I did there?)
For starters we recently released a brand new collab beer we made with our buddies at Harpoon and our dear friend Anders Kissmeyer of Kissmeyer Beer and Brewing in Denmark. It’s a super tasty Nordic Saison brewed with local ingredients and available now on tap!
Announcing Special Wednesday Beer Releases and Pairing!
Every Wednesday night leading up to our 25th Anniversary Party!
This year CBC turns 25 and we plan to celebrate in many ways, large and small, traditional and a bit more CBC-like.
To get the party started every Wednesday night at 5pm we’ll feature a very special, very limited beer release matched with a dinner special created especially with the beer in mind. Some will be small-batch creations – test batches, perhaps, which may one day be scaled up to full-sized versions. Or homebrew-sized beers which seem just a bit too wacky to brew 300 gallons of but which still reflect the CBC spirit of innovation, experimentation, and good taste. Or finally, we may see the release of some extremely special vintage beer of which there may no longer exist any more than just a gallon or two in a very small keg.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – CAMBRIDGE BREWING COMPANY ANNOUNCE NATIONWIDE DISTRIBUTION OF
“I AM HYDROGEN”
April 1, 2014 – Cambridge, MA – Cambridge Brewing Company (CBC) today announces the national release of their latest and most innovative beer, “I AM HYDROGEN”. This easy-drinking dry stout gets its “carbonation” from an injection of pure hydrogen gas before being bottled for sale across the U.S. While normally considered a dangerous element due to its combustible nature, the brewers at CBC have taken great precautions in designing this groundbreaking beer. “We’ve spent an enormous amount of money encasing several of our tanks in concrete with rebar reinforcements,” notes proud CBC founder Phil “Brewdaddy” Bannatyne. “There’s no way these babies will blow.”
There’s a lot going on here at the brewery. Today we brewed a Double Amber for our upcoming 25th Anniversary! We’re really excited about this beer. After fermentation, it will be split up and sent into 15 gallon rum barrels from Turkey Shore Distillery in Ipswich for a few weeks then blended to be served at our Anniversary Party on May 2nd and 3rd.
