Well balanced, medium-bodied, with a deep amber-red color, this beer’s complex palate covers all the bases. A malty caramel sweetness is followed by notes of chocolate and a dry, slightly roasty finish, complemented by a touch of fruity, spicy hops.
Charles River Porter
Deep and dark, full-bodied and robust, our Porter is crammed full of rich, roasted malt character. With underlying notes of fruitness, caramel and toffee, it finishes with a strong hop presence.
Crafted from Weyermann Pils and CaraHell malts, it is hopped with German Saphir hops which offer a touch of fruitiness atop the traditional Germanic spicy hop profile. With yeast in suspension this beer presents with a medium body but very dry and thirst quenching finish.
Tall Tale Pale Ale
Big and bold, our Pale Ale distinguishes itself by its huge, fresh hop aroma and flavor. A combination of Cascade and Centennial hops, both in the kettle and during an extensive dry-hopped conditioning time, gives this beer its nectarious flavor.
Featuring custom-blended coffee beans from our neighbors at Beantowne Coffee House, we ground and cold-brewed a delicious toddy and then infused it into our latest robust stout.
Brewed to celebrate the impending warm and sunny weather of Spring, while recognizing that occasional rainy days call for recess period to be held indoors!
Wake Up the Sun
Wake Up the Sun is a mixed culture saison fermented and matured in wine barrels. With a foundation of raw wheat plus malted wheat and rye and Pilsner malt, this saison begins with a well rounded and deep grain character. A combination of Brettanomyces, lactobacillus and saison yeast lead to an incredibly fruity and complex palate filled with lemon, papaya, mango and spice.
Brewed with pale, Munich, and Cara-Munich malts, spicy European hops, and our own proprietary Belgian yeast strain, this beer shows elegance, balance, complexity, and drinkability all in one glass.
Brewed with Pilsner, CaraVienne, and Rye malts, plus Magnum and Spalter hops. But the driving force behind this beer is the contribution from whole Black, Green, White, and Pink peppercorns. Added to the brewkettle, these four fab peppercorns harmonize with spicy hops while the malted rye and our Belgian yeast hold down the backbeat.
