Soleil Couchant

Rustic Farmhouse Ale CBC’s brew crew again takes inspiration from rustic French and Belgian country ales, particularly the style known as Biere de Mars. Released as we prepare to step into shorter days and earlier sunsets, Soleil Couchant pours a beautiful shade of reddish orange, with a fluffy white head. [wpex more="Read more" less="Read less"] Our version is light in body with aromatic notes of orange blossom honey, herbal hops, and a clean, lightly spicy yeast character. On the palate flavors of freshly baked bread combine with toasted cereal grains leading to a dry and earthy but bright finish. Brewed with pale, Vienna, oats and wheat malts and a good dose of German Spalter, Hallertau and Tettnang hops, this beer pairs well with a wide range of foods, and is just as great on its own.
