Plankenberg

Abbey-style Blonde Ale Plankenburgstraat is the name of a quaint street in the city of Antwerp, Belgium. It was here that our own CBC Brewer, Kevin Dwyer, lived for the summer of 2012, and Antwerp was the city that first opened his young (but legal drinking-aged) eyes to the world of flavorful beers. [wpex more="Read more" less="Read less"] This pale blonde ale was brewed with pilsner malt and flavored with Styrian and Hallertauer hops. These cereal malts and floral hops combine harmoniously with delicate fruity and spicy character thanks to fermentation by our house Belgian ale yeast. Notes of fresh bread dough, citrus blossom and rose petal, and hints of coriander-like spiciness lead to a dry and balanced, refreshing finish. Tulip 6 Pitcher 23 Tower 37[/wpex]
